The tailoring program empowers women who come from very poor backgrounds and work as domestic workers or housewives. Some are emotionally disturbed due to domestic violence and want a way out of their economic and social lives while others are gripped by generational poverty and are looking for sustainable livelihoods to break out of this poverty spell. This program has scaled their outlook to better social living and economic empowerment. We have trained 300 women in Madurai.
